Finding the desired game is not enough if there is nowhere to park. For someone driving, parking availability and cost also influence the choice of venue. Delta added availability, ease of finding space, free or paid parking types, and EV charging information to facility documents.
As Musecat expanded beyond Korea in the second half of last year, the information needed for a visit became more varied. In some Southeast Asian cities where driving matters, games and hours alone are insufficient for planning. Requests for parking information reflect those travel conditions.
For example, two arcades may both have parking, but one offers a free lot while the other has only paid street parking. A single parking tag cannot explain that difference or how difficult space is to find. We needed fields that visitors could compare within the same facility information.
Facility documents already covered indoor amenities and loaned equipment. Parking similarly describes the conditions of a visit, making an extension of that document a reasonable fit. We added driving-related information to the existing model rather than creating an overseas-only document or an independent parking system.
Whether parking exists, how much space is available and how it is used are separate questions. Combining them in one choice would force users to assert conditions they might not know. Separate fields can remain empty when unverified, preventing unknown from becoming unavailable.
The editor distinguishes available, unavailable and unknown parking. Users select spaciousness and relevant types, including free or paid lots and free or paid street parking. EV charging is stored in the same parking metadata.
The parking input distinguishes availability, capacity and free or paid types. Original English capture.
Metadata provides defined attributes alongside photographs or longer descriptions. Representing parking this way lets visitors compare conditions without interpreting prose. Extending the facility model also reduced the need to redesign other document areas.
Visitors can now look beyond game availability to compare parking arrangements and conditions. Adding regional requests to existing facility documents allows venue information to reflect how people travel in another region.
Stored spaciousness cannot guarantee a vacancy on the day of a visit. Availability varies over time, and charges or charging facilities can change. Unknown values need to remain explicit, with information updated from subsequent on-site checks.
